Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist

My name is Michelle, and I’m a registered clinical social worker with both the Ontario College of Social Workers and the Ontario Association of Social Workers. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto, with a specialization in individual and family therapy.

I’ve been providing therapy for over 12 years and have worked in a variety of community mental health settings, supporting clients with a wide range of needs and concerns. My approach is integrative and person-centred, meaning I tailor therapy to meet the unique needs of each person I work with. I’m particularly influenced by trauma-informed modalities, including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

I also have a strong passion for attachment-based work, and I bring this lens into much of my practice. I believe that our early relationships and attachment experiences shape how we see ourselves, connect with others, and navigate the world and that understanding these patterns can be a powerful part of healing and growth.

I have a special interest in supporting clients who are healing from trauma, and I deeply respect the courage it takes to explore difficult emotions and long-standing patterns. I believe that through this process of self-understanding, a powerful sense of strength and resilience can emerge.

I work with children (7+), teens, adults, couples, and also offer parent coaching and support. Some of the areas I commonly support clients with include stress, anxiety, low mood or depression, grief and loss, self-worth and self-criticism, life transitions (such as entering adulthood, becoming a parent, or retiring), and trauma.

Therapy is a space where I aim to meet people with warmth, curiosity, and compassion. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside others in their journey toward healing and meaningful change.

Healing begins the moment we feel truly seen, truly heard, and no longer alone with our pain.
